About the Math School
The main goal of the Private School of Mathematics is to provide children of all ages with a pleasurable but helpful learning experience.
Children who can benefit from this school include:
- Children with difficulties in Math
- Students who have lost interest in school
- Children with low self-esteem
- Children who lack motivation to learn
- Students who lack good study habits
- Students who need a program above and beyond what the public school system can offer
- Students who need to raise test scores
- Including SAT I, SAT II, GRE tests
The Private School of Math focuses on classical European mathematical education, keeping with a curriculum that is almost always ahead of the Public School level. Classes are no more than ten students in size, and the focus is not on repetition, but rather on the development of logical thinking skills, which will continue to help the child throughout their life.
There is also an annual Mathematical Competition. This allows children of all ages to test their skill level in a variety of challenging questions. As in any competition, winners are crowned at the end, also being presented with a small prize for their success.
